Learn how to save a life – learn CPR

In just half an hour you could become a life-saver. Come to our FREE hands on session to find out more about CPR and the recently installed BHF funded defibrillator at the North East Business & Innovation Centre (NE BIC).

Where: (NE BIC), Thompson Suite, Main Building
When: Friday 5th May 2017
Time: 10am-2pm (drop in anytime)

The North East Business and Innovation Centre (NE BIC) have recently been awarded a fully funded defibrillator by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) which has now been installed onsite.

In the event of a cardiac arrest, CPR and the use of a defibrillator can almost double someone’s chances of survival, so we are glad you have one at your place of work – now you just need to know how to use it.

The BHF will be at the NE BIC on 5th May running defib and CPR demonstrations you can fit into your lunch break. Not only will you be equipped with life-saving skills when we’re done, you’ll also be entered into our mystery prize draw so please do come and see us.

There are more than 1,700 out of hospital cardiac arrests in the north east every year, and less than 1 in 15 of these people will survive – for just half an hour of your time we can go a long way to increasing these survival rates in our community and you can be a CPR hero.

We hope to see you there!
